Room 3

A big thank you to all of our parent volunteers who joined us at the North Mount Pleasant Art Centre for our Field Trip. We had a wonderful time crating robins out of clay. I will pick up the pieces in approximately 2 weeks and send them home. The On-line option is now available on PowerSchool. Thank you for your patience.

Show and Share

Second Show and Share is starting up next week. Please check your child's folder for their duo-tangs. If you did not return the Show and Share duo-tang, from the 1st Share, a sheet of paper will be sent home instead.

The dates are as follows:

1st Share - October - December

2nd Share - January - March

3rd Share - April - June

Please look for a duo tang to be sent home roughly a week before your child's assigned date. There is information on the inside of the front cover explaining the Show and Share program. If for any reason their date does not work (vacation, illness, etc.) the schedule is very flexible and we can reassign dates.

Reminders

Thank you to everyone who brought in their reading folders! I will check them every Monday. We all exchange library books on Mondays. Kindergartens are able to sign out one book at a time. If their book is not returned they will be able to enjoy it for another week.

Please ensure that your child has indoor shoes labelled with their name.

Please send back your child's plastic communication envelope to school everyday
Each student in the AM class has a YELLOW plastic communication envelope.
Each student in the PM class has a BLUE plastic communication envelope.

Please make sure that your child comes to school with a snack. Learning is hard work!

Dear Families,

We have the wonderful opportunity to visit the North Mount Pleasant Art Centre on Friday, February 28^th, 2020.

Students will be exploring shape, hollow forms and application through a clay activity (Spring Robin). The sculptures will be fired and returned roughly two weeks after the field trip.

We require 6 parent volunteers for this trip. Please let me know ASAP if you are able to come with us.

Itinerary

8:30 am – Arrive at Belfast School

9:00 am – Depart Belfast School

9:30 am – 10:30 am – North Mount Pleasant Art Centre Clay workshop

10:45 am – Depart North Mount Pleasant Art Centre

11:25 am – Dismissal from Belfast School

Cost

The total cost for this Field Trip is $20.50/student. This cost covers busing, workshop and firing fees. Payment options – Cash or On-line (Power School).

Because of our tight timeline and CBE’s policy, the on-line payment, through Power School, will not be available for 2 weeks. If you wish to pay on-line please indicate this option when returning the completed forms. Cash payments can be sent with the signed forms. I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
